Stephanie Warman is an Independent Chartered Psychologist based in Bristol and the South West. With more than twenty years of experience working with adults, children and families, she takes on commissions to be an expert witness at educational tribunal hearings.

After graduating with a BSc(Hons) in Psychology (Liverpool John Moores University) and completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Liverpool Hope University College), Stephanie taught for a number of years at an inner-city primary school in Liverpool.  She then completed an MSc in Educational Psychology (The University of Manchester) followed by a Certificate in Counselling Skills (University of Wales).

During her career as an Educational Psychologist Stephanie has worked closely with parents, teachers, health professionals and social workers in the assessment and management of children with a wide range of special needs.

Stephanie has set up group work to support students who have experienced separation and loss through divorce and/or bereavement.  She has devised programmes to assist pupils transitioning to high school, supported 'children looked after' in case reviews and provided INSET training for teaching and support staff on many issues, including behaviour management.   Stephanie has also been part of the Neighbourhood Early Years multi-disciplinary team, liaised with Behaviour Education Support multi-agency teams (BEST) and participated in the DFEE ‘Behaviour Improvement Project (BIP)’ audit in primary schools. The BIP Audit assisted schools to self-review their behaviour policies and practices, then supported their responses to the outcome of their behaviour audit.  

Stephanie keeps up to date with current issues and is involved in a peer-support group who meet regularly to review practise.  She has received training as an expert witness and regularly attends training courses, events and conferences to keep up-to-date with current psychological issues.

Stephanie is fully registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS), a member of the Association of Educational Psychologists and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.  She is listed as a checked Expert Witness in the Directory of Expert Witnesses, a member of the Association of Psychologists in Private Practice and also listed in the Directory of Chartered Psychologists.

Her service is completely confidential, conforming to the British Psychological Society Code of Practice and she holds an up to date DBS Certificate.
